New Construction with Three Barns

This new residence completed in 2022 sits nestled in nearly 40 acres of fields at the top of a hill in Bedford NY with an existing early 20th century working barn.  The clients were moving out of the 19th century farm house that they had lived in for more than 30 years, and wanted an open floor plan, unlimited light and views, and more connection to the outdoors.  

We came up with a design for the main house that featured three connected barn structures. One of the barn structures features an open kitchen and living space, the second boasts the primary suite with a separate cozy study, while the third is home to the garage and guest suite above.  

Highly energy efficient, the house is equipped with solar panels and Tesla Powerwalls.
